A guided walking tour through the Game of Thrones filming locations inside Diocletian's Palace in Split — the dragon dungeons, the Meereen street scenes, and the Vestibule — with each scene played on a tablet where it was filmed.
Join your guide for a walk through the historic center of Split. Learn about the city's 2000-year history as you stroll through the Old Town.
We are local guides and friends who love everything about Split: the sea, wine, coffee, and all the little things that make life here beautiful.
Meereen, the place where Daenerys spent three seasons, where scenes of the fight between slaves and masters (the "kill the masters" scene) were filmed, battles of Grey Worm and the Unsullied against the Sons of the Harpy, the death of Ser Barristan Selmy who saved Grey Worm, the dragons that Daenerys chained and later fed to the evil masters.
Visit Diocletian's Palace and immerse yourself in its grandeur. Pass by the Golden Gate, the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace, the Vestibulum of Diocletian's Palace, and the Temple of Jupiter. Explore the substructures of the palace.
Hear stories about the city's history and see where scenes from the popular TV series Game of Thrones were filmed. Visit the spot where Daenerys fought the Great Masters of Mereen.
Pass by the Game of Thrones Museum Split and the Game of Thrones Split Fan Shop. Learn about Emperor Diocletian, the greatest persecutor of Christians. Find out how much the Venetians paid for Split and why a headless Sphinx guards the entrance to Jupiter’s Temple.
Let's watch together the scenes filmed in Split at every filming spot from seasons 4 and 5.

The main entrance to Diocletian's Palace with beautiful niches once adorned with statues of Roman emperors and inside with a built-in mechanism of double doors known as the "human mousetrap."
Meereen is no longer a safe place for slave masters; dangerous messages in blood are appearing on the walls, and here a master will encounter the wrath of the rebellious slaves.
The main square of the palace, the site where Diocletian's mausoleum is located—today the Cathedral of St. Domnius—as well as a 3,500-year-old sphinx that poses a riddle.
Visit the Temple of Jupiter and the headless Sphinx — and learn why Diocletian was Christianity's greatest persecutor.
Visit each GoT filming spot in sequence, watching the actual scenes on a tablet. Includes the Meereen rebellion scenes, the dragon chains location, and the Sons of the Harpy ambush site.
Enter the West Chambers (Dragons' Prison) and East Chambers (GoT battle corridor) with included tickets.
Take a free photo on the Iron Throne as a part of a tour and get yourself an original souvenir from a trip to Essos, Meereen - Split.
We conclude the tour by the sea, where you will receive instructions on what to see for the remainder of your journey in Split and Dalmatia, where to eat, which beach to visit, how to spend quality time affordably.
Tour map
Map shows tour area. Exact route may vary.
Nearly every Meereen scene in seasons 4 and 5 was shot inside Diocletian's Palace. These are the exact spots we visit on the tour, in order, with the scenes played on a tablet so you see the location and the episode side by side.
The dragon dungeon. This is where Daenerys chains Viserion and Rhaegal after they burn a child in Yunkai. Her walk away from her own dragons is filmed in this exact corridor.
The ambush corridor. Grey Worm and Ser Barristan Selmy face the Sons of the Harpy here. Barristan dies protecting Grey Worm — one of the quieter deaths in the series.
The back streets of Meereen. 'Kill the Masters' graffiti, the slave revolt ambushes, and the Unsullied arrests were filmed on these medieval lanes inside the Palace walls.
The open-topped round chamber. Used as a transition shot for Daenerys arriving in Meereen, and as the meeting space in several of her council scenes.
Meereen's public square. Background for Daenerys's walks with her advisors and guards. The cathedral steps appear in several wide shots of the city.
The moodier Meereen corners — conspiracies, private conversations, tension. The 3,500-year-old sphinx at the entrance has been guarding the temple since before Rome existed.

“Absolutely brilliant guide. Every Game of Thrones location was shown with the exact scene playing on the tablet. The history part made it even richer. Best 2 hours in Split.”

“Great history. The basement tickets are included which saved us queueing. Smaller group than expected — it was just six of us, very personal.”
